My Calm-Down Toolkit

This Pre-K lesson guides students to learn and practice two self-calming strategies—belly breathing and counting to four—over a 30-minute session. Students will explore mindfulness and take responsibility for their emotions by creating a personalized calm-down kit to use when they feel upset.

Mirror My Emotions

In this playful Pre-K lesson, students explore and identify four basic emotions—happy, sad, mad, and scared—through mirror practice and peer interactions. By building emotion vocabulary and self-awareness, children will strengthen social-emotional skills and learn to recognize feelings in themselves and others.
