Lesson Plan

Speak Your Calm Lesson Plan

Over ten 30-minute individual sessions, the 8th-grade student will progressively learn to identify anger triggers, label emotions, express frustration with “I” statements, practice coping strategies, and create a personal regulation plan to manage outbursts.

This tier-3 series meets the student’s IEP behavior goals by building mature word-based expression skills, reducing outbursts and exits, and fostering self-regulation.
