Students will identify and describe at least three different holiday traditions from various cultures around the world.

Gather markers and chart paper (if groups are presenting on paper).

Step 1

Introduction and Group Formation

5 minutes

Introduce the lesson, "Holiday Hues: Culture Quest!", and its objective.
Explain that students will be exploring holiday traditions from different cultures.
Divide students into small groups (3-4 students per group).

Step 2

Culture Quest Activity

15 minutes

Distribute the Holiday Culture Quest Activity to each group.
Instruct groups to choose 2-3 different countries or cultures.
Students will work collaboratively to research and record information about a specific holiday tradition from each chosen culture, focusing on what it is, when it's celebrated, why it's important, and how people celebrate it.
