Lesson Plan

Guardian Role Guide

In four 20-minute sessions, students will adopt peer “guardian” roles by defining behavior goals, matching with mentors, practicing check-ins/check-outs, and reflecting to build accountability and empathy.

Structured peer mentoring through check-in/check-out helps students develop responsibility, supportive habits, and positive behavior patterns, reducing disruptions and fostering a caring classroom community.
