What Is Career Readiness?

Define career readiness in simple terms. Ask students if they’ve heard this phrase before and what they think it means.

Why Career Readiness Matters

• 85% of jobs created in the next decade require education or training beyond high school (NCES)

• Early exploration reduces career uncertainty and boosts confidence

Highlight why planning ahead matters. Cite the statistic and relate it to today’s rapidly changing job market.
