This lesson helps them discover their unique voice, understand admissions expectations, and practice revisions—key skills for college readiness.

In this Tier 2 project-based lesson, 11th graders in small groups learn to create mock personal budgets and savings plans for college life, building skills for financial independence. Over a 60-minute session, students will explore budgeting basics, apply concepts, and present their financial plans—essential for responsible money management.
