Lesson Plan

Coping Champs Session 1

Students will learn to recognize and name five basic emotions (happy, sad, angry, surprised, scared) and notice how these feelings show up in their bodies, building a foundation for later coping skills.

Identifying emotions early helps children develop self-awareness and emotional vocabulary, which are critical for managing feelings before they escalate and fostering resilience.
