Introduce the idea of 'chatting like a pro' - making conversations easy and fun.

Discuss the three key elements: listening, asking questions, and sharing about yourself.

Model a simple conversation using the tips (e.g., "Hi! How was your weekend?" "It was good, I went to the park. What about you?").

Pair students up. Give them 2-3 minutes to practice starting a conversation with a partner using one of the tips or their own idea. Encourage them to try to keep the conversation going for at least 30 seconds.

This is the warm-up. Encourage a few students to share their initial thoughts on how they start conversations. Validate all responses.

Introduce the concept of 'Chat Like a Pro.' Emphasize that it's about making conversations feel easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

1. Listen Up! Pay attention to what the other person is saying.

2. Ask Awesome Questions! Show you're interested.

3. Share About YOU! Tell them a little about yourself too.

Explain the three main tips. Give a very brief example for each or ask students for quick ideas. Emphasize that these work together.

Find a partner and try to start a conversation.

Try to keep chatting for at least 30 seconds!
