Calm Corner Guide

Students will learn and practice two self-regulation strategies—grounding and deep breathing—during a 20-minute small-group session, so they can apply them independently to manage stress and anxiety.

Teaching coping strategies like grounding and breathing helps 7th graders regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and improve focus both in and out of the classroom.
