Use this checklist each time you move from one class or activity to another. Check off each step as you complete it.

Before Transition

☐ 1. Look at your schedule to see which class or activity is next.

☐ 2. Gather all materials you will need (books, binder, pencil, pass).

☐ 3. Take a deep breath and notice how you’re feeling (calm, worried, excited).

☐ 4. Choose a coping strategy if you feel overwhelmed (e.g., deep breathing, positive self-talk).

During Transition

☐ 5. Walk calmly and stay on the right side of the hallway.

☐ 6. Use your coping strategy if you notice stress or racing thoughts.

☐ 7. Check your schedule or map if you’re unsure of the destination.

☐ 8. Keep moving until you reach the next classroom.

After Transition

☐ 9. Arrive at the classroom before the bell rings.

☐ 10. Show your hall pass (if needed) and take your seat quietly.

☐ 11. Unpack materials and review what you need to do first in the new class.

☐ 12. Take a moment to check in with yourself: Are you ready to learn?
