Your Business Brainstorm: Unleash Your Inner Entrepreneur!

Today, we're going to explore how your unique talents can become amazing ideas!

Welcome students and introduce the exciting topic of creating their own ideas!

What's Your Superpower?

Think about something you are really good at or love to do. This is your unique 'superpower'!

Examples:

  • Drawing amazing pictures
  • Making people laugh
  • Being super organized
  • Helping others with homework
  • Cooking yummy snacks

Ask students to think about things they are good at or love to do. Give examples like drawing, telling stories, helping friends, being organized, playing games, etc. Encourage a few students to share their 'superpowers.'

What is an Entrepreneur?

An entrepreneur is someone who uses their special talents and ideas to create something new, like a business!

They see a need or a problem and find a creative way to solve it.

Introduce the term 'entrepreneur.' Explain that it's just a fancy word for someone who uses their skills to start something new, often a business. Give simple, clear examples.

Entrepreneurs Help Others!

Entrepreneurs create things or offer services that:

  • Make people's lives easier
  • Bring joy to others
  • Solve a problem
  • Provide something people need or want

Think: How does a baker help people? How does someone who walks dogs help people?

Emphasize that businesses aren't just about making money; they often help people or solve problems. Provide relatable examples. Ask students: "How do these businesses help people?"

Your Superpower = Business Idea!

Now it's YOUR turn!

How can your superpower become a business idea?

  • What could you make?
  • What service could you offer?
  • Who would your business help?

Explain that students will now use their 'superpowers' to brainstorm business ideas. Introduce the worksheet they will be using. Guide them through the first few questions on the worksheet as a class.

Share Your Brilliant Ideas!

What's one amazing business idea you brainstormed?

How could your idea help someone?

Ask students to share one idea from their worksheet if they are comfortable. Validate all ideas and praise creativity. Reiterate that everyone has valuable skills.
