- Review the Winter Wellness Wrap-Up Lesson Plan and all supporting materials, including the Winter Wellness Slide Deck, Wellness Check-in Journal, and Holiday Habit Builder Activity.
- Prepare the whiteboard or projector for displaying discussion prompts and instructions.
- Make copies of the Wellness Check-in Journal and Holiday Habit Builder Activity for each student.
Step 1
Introduction & Warm-Up: Acknowledging the Season
10 minutes
- Begin with a brief class discussion. Use the prompts from the Winter Wellness Slide Deck to spark conversation about the challenges and joys of the holiday season and end-of-year.
- Introduce the concept of 'winter wellness' and its importance during this busy period.

Individual Reflection: Wellness Check-in
15 minutes
- Distribute the Wellness Check-in Journal to each student.
- Instruct students to complete the journal independently, reflecting on their current well-being practices and identifying areas where they might need more support or attention.
- Encourage honest self-assessment, emphasizing that there are no right or wrong answers.

- Facilitate a guided discussion using the Winter Wellness Slide Deck based on themes that emerged from the journal activity (without asking students to share personal details they aren't comfortable with).

- Emphasize the diversity of well-being needs and approaches.

- Explain that this activity will help them create a personalized plan for maintaining their well-being.
- Guide students through the activity, encouraging them to set realistic and achievable goals related to stress management, social connection, physical health, and emotional well-being.

- Ask students to share one habit they are committing to from their Holiday Habit Builder Activity.
- Reiterate the importance of prioritizing well-being, especially during demanding times.
- Encourage students to review their plans regularly and adjust as needed throughout the holiday season.
