Step 1

Introduction

5 minutes

  • Introduce the theme of Florida wildflowers.
  • Show pictures of different wildflowers on your phone or tablet and explain their names.
  • Explain the activity: Children will find wildflowers in the garden and use a camera or phone to take pictures of the matching wildflowers.

Step 2

Scavenger Hunt

20 minutes

  • Give each child a basket or bag for collecting items if needed.
  • Show the children a picture of a wildflower and ask them to find the matching one in the garden.
  • Allow children to explore and take pictures of the matching wildflowers, encouraging them to say the flower's name.

Step 3

Wrap-Up Discussion

5 minutes

  • Gather the children and review the pictures of wildflowers they found.
