Discovering CASEL Competencies Plan

Students will learn the five CASEL competencies—self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision-making—and identify examples in their own lives through charades, group matching, and reflection.

Early SEL instruction helps students understand and manage emotions, collaborate effectively, and make responsible decisions, boosting classroom climate and academic success.
