Step 1
Welcome and Set-Up for Presentations
5 minutes
Teacher Script
"Good morning/afternoon, everyone! Today is a big day – the culmination of our 12-week 'Positive Psychology Passport' journey. You've all worked incredibly hard on your capstone projects, and now it's time to share your incredible insights and creations.
We'll be doing a 'Gallery Walk' style showcase, or short presentations, depending on our setup. When it's your turn to present or when you're viewing, remember to be respectful and engaged. Our goal is to celebrate each other's growth and offer thoughtful feedback.
First, let's quickly review the structure for today. We will have presentations, then a feedback session, followed by a final reflection and celebration. I'll hand out the Peer Feedback Forms Worksheet now, which you'll use to guide your thoughts during the presentations."
Step 2
Presentations of Projects
25 minutes
Teacher Script
"Alright, let's begin our showcase! We'll spend the next 25 minutes sharing our 'Positive Psychology Passport' projects. If we are doing a gallery walk, please move around the room quietly, reading and observing each project. For those presenting digitally, you will have a few minutes each to share. As you observe, remember to use your Peer Feedback Forms Worksheet to jot down specific strengths and a 'glow' for each project.
(Facilitate the 'Gallery Walk' or individual presentations. Circulate the room, prompting students to think about their feedback. Encourage students to explain their project's connection to positive psychology concepts.)
"Remember to focus on the key concepts we've explored: gratitude, mindfulness, strengths, resilience, and positive relationships. How have your peers integrated these into their journeys?"
Step 3
Giving and Receiving Constructive Feedback
10 minutes
Teacher Script
"Excellent work, everyone! It's clear how much thought and effort went into these projects. Now, let's transition to the feedback portion. You've all filled out your Peer Feedback Forms Worksheet with 'glows.' Now, for the 'grow' – an area where a peer could potentially expand or improve. Remember our guidelines for constructive feedback: be specific, be kind, and focus on the work, not the person.
I'll ask a few volunteers to share some feedback they received or gave, and reflect on why constructive feedback is important. What makes feedback truly helpful?"
(Lead a brief discussion on the importance of constructive feedback, emphasizing its role in personal and academic growth.)
Step 4
Final Group Reflection & Looking Ahead
5 minutes
Teacher Script
"Before we wrap up, let's take a moment for a final group reflection on our entire 12-week 'Positive Psychology Passport' journey. What is one key takeaway or a significant change you've noticed in your own well-being or perspective since we started this project? How will you continue to apply these concepts in your daily life?
(Allow a few students to share their reflections.)
"You've all shown incredible dedication, creativity, and self-awareness throughout this journey. Give yourselves a huge round of applause! The skills and insights you've gained in understanding and nurturing your well-being are lifelong gifts. Keep shining, keep growing!"
