In this Vision Board Workshop, students will engage in a creative session to set intentions and visualize their aspirations for the upcoming year. Step 1
Introduction to Vision Boards
5 minutes
- Briefly explain what a vision board is and its purpose.
- Discuss how vision boards can help in setting and achieving goals.
- Share examples of vision boards (if available).
Step 2
Goal Setting Discussion
10 minutes
- Facilitate a discussion on the importance of setting goals.
- Ask students to think about their personal and academic aspirations for the year.
- Use the Vision Board Planning worksheet to help students outline their goals.
Step 3
Vision Board Creation
25 minutes
- Distribute materials: magazines, scissors, glue sticks, poster boards, and markers.
- Instruct students to cut out images and words from magazines that represent their goals and aspirations.
- Encourage creativity and personal expression as students arrange and glue their selections onto their poster boards.
Step 4
Reflection and Sharing
5 minutes
- Allow students to share their vision boards with the class if they feel comfortable.
- Encourage students to reflect on the process and how it helped them clarify their goals.
- Discuss how they can use their vision boards as a motivational tool throughout the year.
