Vision Board Creation Workshop

Goal Setting with Vision Boards

In this lesson, students will learn how to set personal goals and visually represent them through the creation of vision boards. This activity encourages creativity and self-reflection, helping students to clarify their aspirations and stay motivated towards achieving their goals. By the end of the lesson, students will have a tangible representation of their goals to inspire them.

Magazines, Scissors, Glue sticks, Poster boards, Markers, and Vision Board Worksheet

Step 1

Introduction to Vision Boards

10 minutes

  • Begin with a brief discussion on the importance of setting goals and how vision boards can help visualize and achieve them.
  • Explain what a vision board is and show examples if available.
  • Discuss how images and words can represent goals and aspirations.

Step 2

Vision Board Creation

25 minutes

  • Distribute materials: magazines, scissors, glue sticks, poster boards, and markers.
  • Hand out the Vision Board Worksheet to guide students in identifying their goals.
  • Encourage students to cut out images and words from magazines that represent their goals and aspirations.
  • Assist students in arranging and gluing their selections onto their poster boards.

Step 3

Reflection and Sharing

10 minutes

  • Invite students to share their vision boards with the class or in small groups.
  • Facilitate a discussion on the goals represented and the process of creating the vision boards.
  • Encourage students to reflect on how they can work towards achieving their goals.
