Identifying Feelings and Perspectives

This worksheet contains five scenarios where students will identify the feelings and perspectives of others and provide a positive response.

Scenario 1: Your friend looks upset after receiving a test result. How do you think they feel? How can you respond positively?

Consider how you would feel in their situation and what words might comfort them.







Scenario 2: A classmate is sitting alone during lunch. What might they be feeling? What could you do to make them feel included?

Think about times when you felt left out and what helped you.







Scenario 3: Someone in your group project is not contributing much. What might be their perspective? How can you encourage them?

Consider reasons why someone might be quiet and how you can support them.







Scenario 4: Your sibling is angry because they lost a game. How do you think they feel? What can you say to help them?

Reflect on how losing feels and what words can help calm someone down.







Scenario 5: A new student seems nervous on their first day. What might they be feeling? How can you make them feel welcome?

Remember your first day at a new place and what made you feel better.
