Slide Deck
Welcome to Nature Week!
Today, we begin our exciting journey exploring plants, animals, and weather. Let's discover the wonders of nature together.
Introduce the nature week theme with vibrant images of trees, flowers, and smiling children. Remind teachers to use engaging language and encourage participation from toddlers.
Let's Talk About Plants
Plants make our world beautiful! They grow, change, and need water and sunlight. Can you name your favorite flower or tree?
Focus on plants: use images of trees, flowers, and simple animations to show how plants grow. Encourage discussion by asking what plants the children see around them.
Meet Our Animal Friends
Animals are all around us! Listen carefully: what sounds do you think different animals make? Let's imitate them together.
Introduce animals with colorful pictures and simple sounds. Teachers can use animal sound recordings if available.
What's the Weather Like?
Weather can be sunny, rainy, or even windy! What is the weather like today? Let's share our thoughts and feelings about our day.
Discuss weather through visual cues such as sunny, rainy, or cloudy icons. Keep the language simple and encourage the children to speak about the weather they see outside.
Goodbye and See You Soon!
Great job exploring nature today! What was your favorite part? Let's remember what we learned and get excited for our next adventure.
Use this slide to close the session by recapping the day’s explorations. Ask simple reflective questions and preview a next exciting topic for another session if relevant.

Sensory Exploration: Encourage the children to gently touch the items they found and describe how they feel. Compare textures (smooth rock vs. rough bark, etc.).
-
Connecting with the Lesson: Refer back to the Nature Week Overview or Nature Week Presentation to tie the activity with broader daily themes. This connection reinforces learning in a playful way.
-
Extension Idea: If time permits, you can create a simple collage on a poster board using the found items (or pictures of them). This would serve as a visual reminder of the fun day exploring the wonders of nature.
Enjoy the hunt and happy exploring, little nature detectives!
