Lesson Plan

Daily Mood Mapping

Students will identify and chart their daily emotions on a shared mood map and on individual trackers to build self-awareness and emotional vocabulary.

Recognizing and expressing feelings helps 2nd graders develop self-awareness, regulate emotions, and build classroom empathy. Tracking moods daily fosters reflection on emotional patterns.
