Step 1

Introduction

  • Begin with a brief discussion on the importance of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Ask students to share examples of when they worked well in a team.

Step 2

Game 1: Hula Hoop Pass

10 mins

  • Arrange students in a circle holding hands.
  • Place a hula hoop over one student's arm.
  • Challenge the group to pass the hula hoop around the circle without letting go of hands.
  • Discuss strategies and communication used.

Step 3

Game 2: Ball Toss Challenge

10 mins

  • Divide students into small groups.
  • Provide each group with a soft ball.
  • Challenge them to toss the ball to each member without dropping it, increasing the difficulty by adding more balls.
  • Emphasize communication and cooperation.

Step 4

Game 3: Obstacle Course

15 mins

  • Set up an obstacle course using cones and other available materials.
  • Assign roles using the Printable Cards: Team Roles.
  • Students must navigate the course as a team, helping each other through the obstacles.
  • Reflect on the roles and teamwork involved.
