Step 1

Begin by explaining the importance of teamwork and communication. Highlight how these skills are not only important in the classroom but also in everyday life. Outline the objective of the lesson and give a brief overview of the activities planned.

Step 2

Game 1: Human Knot

10 mins

  1. Have students stand in a circle.
  2. Each student reaches out and holds the hand of someone across from them, forming a 'knot'.
  3. Without letting go of hands, students must untangle themselves to form a circle again.
  4. Encourage students to communicate and work together to solve the problem.

Step 3

Game 2: Blindfolded Obstacle Course

15 mins

  1. Set up an obstacle course using cones or markers.
  2. Pair students up and give one of them a blindfold.
  3. The blindfolded student must navigate the obstacle course with verbal guidance from their partner.
  4. Switch roles and repeat.
  5. Emphasize the importance of clear communication and trust.

Step 4

Game 3: Group Jump Rope

10 mins

  1. Get a long jump rope and have students form two lines on either side.
  2. Two students or teachers will turn the rope.
  3. Students must run and jump in succession without missing a beat.
  4. Stress the need for timing and coordination.

  1. Gather students in a circle.
  2. Discuss the experiences they had during the games.
