SST Agenda

Equip 5th Grade educators to run a focused 30-minute Student Support Team meeting that reviews academic and behavioral data, identifies actionable next steps, and selects targeted interventions.

A structured agenda ensures data-driven collaboration, promotes consistency in supports, and accelerates early identification of students’ academic and behavioral needs.

Step 1

1. Welcome & Meeting Overview

5 minutes

  • Briefly state the meeting’s purpose and objectives.
  • Review the agenda and assign a timekeeper and note-taker.
  • Confirm any new attendees and their roles.

2. Academic Data Review

8 minutes

  • Project or distribute the Academic Data Summary Template.
  • Identify students performing below benchmark or with significant score changes.
  • Prompt discussion: “Which trends stand out? Are there group patterns or individual concerns?”

3. Behavioral Data Review

  • Share the Behavioral Data Summary Template.
  • Highlight incidents, attendance issues, or positive behavior shifts.
  • Discussion questions: “What triggers or contexts do we notice? Which successes can we build on?”

4. Action Steps & Interventions

7 minutes

  • For each identified student, propose 1–2 concrete strategies or interventions.
  • Document responsibilities, timelines, and resources in the SST Action Plan Template.
  • Ensure interventions align with classroom routines and supports.
