  • Start with a brief introduction explaining the importance of time management and the negative impacts of procrastination.
  • Facilitate a group discussion where students share common triggers and personal experiences with procrastination.
  • Use guided questions to help students identify their individual procrastination triggers.

Step 2

Interactive Activity and Strategy Development

20 minutes

  • Conduct the Motivation Boosters Activity to energize and motivate students.
  • Divide students into small groups and have them brainstorm actionable strategies to overcome procrastination.
  • Encourage groups to present their ideas, fostering peer support and shared learning.

Step 3

Commitment and Evaluation

5 minutes

  • Hand out the Commitment Evaluation Rubric for students to self-assess their readiness to implement the discussed strategies.
  • Collect rubrics and provide quick feedback to reinforce commitment to change.

Stop Procrastinating Now!

This session is aimed at empowering you to take control of your time and commitments by understanding and overcoming procrastination. You will explore your personal triggers, learn effective strategies, and engage in peer discussions and interactive activities. Below is the structure of today's session.

1. Preparation & Review (10 minutes)

2. Introduction and Trigger Identification (15 minutes)

  • I will start with a brief introduction discussing the importance of time management and what negative impacts procrastination can have on your progress.


  • You will participate in a group discussion to share your own experiences with procrastination and identify common triggers.


  • Guided questions will help you think critically about your personal procrastination habits.

3. Interactive Activity and Strategy Development (20 minutes)

  • Take part in the Motivation Boosters Activity. This activity is designed as an energizing break that also reinforces our main topic through engaging, quick tasks that demonstrate the benefits of motivation and timely action.


  • You will then break into small groups to brainstorm actionable strategies for overcoming procrastination. Work together, share your ideas, and discuss which strategies might work best for you.

4. Commitment and Evaluation (5 minutes)

  • Finally, complete the Commitment Evaluation Rubric. This tool helps you assess your readiness to adopt the new strategies discussed.

  • Your responses will be collected and quick feedback will be provided to reinforce a commitment to effective time management.
