Spark Success Plan

Kickstart each day by recognizing positive behaviors and personal achievements through a quick interactive routine that builds confidence, community, and focus.

Daily positive reinforcement boosts student morale, fosters a supportive environment, and encourages self-awareness of strengths and successes.

10 minutes daily

Approach

Combine shout-out cards, affirmations slides, and journaling.

Materials

  • Morning Shout-Out Prompt Cards, - Affirmation Slide Deck, and - Daily Wins Journal Worksheets

Prep

Prepare Materials

5 minutes

  • Print and cut Morning Shout-Out Prompt Cards
  • Review and load Affirmation Slide Deck on the classroom display
  • Print or organize Daily Wins Journal Worksheets
  • Gather reward tokens or stickers for student recognition

Step 1

Morning Shout-Outs

2 minutes

  • Gather students in a circle or at their desks
  • Randomly select a card from Morning Shout-Out Prompt Cards
  • Read the prompt aloud; have the named student share the observed positive behavior
  • Award the student a token or sticker for positive recognition
  • Encourage classmates to applaud or cheer in support

Step 2

Affirmation Highlights

3 minutes

  • Display the first slide of Affirmation Slide Deck
  • Lead the class in reading the affirmation aloud together
  • Invite 1–2 volunteers to explain what the affirmation means to them
  • Advance to the next slide and repeat until time is up

Step 3

Daily Wins Log

5 minutes

  • Distribute or have students open their Daily Wins Journal Worksheets
  • Prompt students to write one or two personal achievements or positive actions from yesterday or this morning
  • Pair students to share one win with a partner
  • Collect journals or instruct students to save entries for reflection
  • Remind students to keep adding to their Wins Log daily

Use a calm, encouraging tone. Introduce today’s affirmation and explain that we’ll reflect on its meaning together. Encourage students to think quietly before sharing.

Discuss a mistake you made and what lesson you took from it.
• How did that experience help you improve?

Remind students that mistakes are opportunities to learn. Emphasize growth mindset language.

I am a positive contributor

How can you bring positivity to our classroom community today?
• Share one action you can take right now.

Highlight the power of positive contributions. Encourage examples from classroom, home, or community.

I believe in my ideas

Share an idea you are proud of or something creative you thought of.
• How did you feel when you had that idea?

Celebrate student creativity and unique ideas. Let volunteers build on each other’s stories.

Why is respect important?
• How do you show respect to classmates and yourself?

Discuss respect as a two-way street. Model respectful responses.

Describe a challenge you overcame.
• What strategies helped you succeed?

Connect confidence with preparation and practice. Share a personal anecdote if possible.
