Space Vocabulary Adventure

Increase vocabulary related to space

The lesson will focus on teaching simple space-related terms through an engaging and collaborative activity. Students will work in pairs or small groups to match terms to their definitions using printable cards. This lesson will help students expand their space vocabulary in a fun and interactive way, enhancing both their academic and social skills.

Step 1

Introduction

Briefly introduce the topic of space and explain the goal of learning new space words.
Give examples of a few simple space-related words (e.g., star, moon, sun).

Activity Setup

Give out the simple vocabulary cards to the students.
Divide students into pairs or small groups, making sure that non-verbal students are paired with friends who can help them.

Step 3

Matching Game

Tell each group to match the space word cards with the definition cards.
Walk around the room to help students as needed.
Encourage students to talk with their partners and agree on the matches.
