Learn and practice career-essential soft skills

In this lesson, students will engage in activities designed to develop essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. These skills are vital for a thriving career and will be developed through role-playing and collaborative tasks, helping students internalize and practice what they learn.

Step 1

Introduction

5 mins

Briefly explain the importance of soft skills in career development.
Share an example of how soft skills have benefited someone's career.
Outline the objectives of the lesson.

Step 2

Group Activity: Role-Playing Scenarios

20 mins

Divide students into small groups of 3-4.
Distribute printed scenarios to each group.
Instruct groups to role-play the scenarios, focusing on communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Encourage students to rotate roles to gain different perspectives.

Group Discussion on Scenarios

10 mins

Bring the class back together.
Use discussion questions to guide a conversation about the role-playing scenarios.
Ask students to share their experiences and what they learned about soft skills through the activity.
