Planting Self-Kindness Seeds Activity

Your Inner Garden is Ready!

Just like plants need care to grow, our hearts and minds need kindness to be happy and strong. Today, you get to plant your very own Self-Kindness Seeds!

What to Do:

1. Get Your Seeds Ready: You will get some paper "seed" shapes. On each seed, draw a picture or write a word/sentence about one way you can be kind to yourself when you feel frustrated or sad.

   • Examples: Take a deep breath, draw a picture, ask for a hug, say "It's okay," read a book.

2. Create Your Garden: On a blank piece of paper, draw your own beautiful garden. You can draw soil, flowers, sun, and anything else you want in your special space.

3. Plant Your Seeds: Once your seeds are ready and your garden is drawn, glue your self-kindness seeds onto your paper garden. Imagine them growing into beautiful ways to help your inner garden thrive!

4. Share Your Bloom (Optional): Be ready to share one of your self-kindness seeds or your beautiful garden with a friend or the class!

Growing Self-Kindness

Our inner gardens grow stronger when we practice kindness to ourselves! Think about a time you felt frustrated or sad, and you did something kind to help yourself feel better. Or, think about a new self-kindness seed you want to plant in your garden!

Draw and Write:

• Draw a picture of your kindness garden. Show the self-kindness seed you planted, and what it looks like when it grows!
• Write a sentence or two about what you did, or what you will do, to be kind to your inner garden.
