Scarecrow Pete's Amazing Garden

Scarecrow Pete loved his garden more than anything. Every morning, as the sun peeked over the hills, Pete would wake up with a skip in his step and head straight for his beloved plants. He wasn't just any scarecrow; he was a gardener scarecrow!

First, Pete visited his tomato plants. They were tall and leafy, with bright red tomatoes hanging like shiny ornaments. "Good morning, my juicy friends!" he'd say, checking their leaves for any thirsty signs. Tomatoes, Pete knew, loved lots of sunshine and a good drink of water every day to grow big and round.

Next, he waddled over to his sunflowers. These giants stretched towards the sky, their sunny faces always following the sun. "You are so bright and cheerful!" Pete chuckled. Sunflowers needed plenty of space and deep roots to stand so tall. Pete made sure their soil was loose and their roots could spread out.

Then, there were his carrots. They weren't much to look at above the ground, just a few green leafy tops. But Pete knew that deep beneath the soil, crunchy orange treasures were growing! "Keep growing, little root vegetables!" he whispered, gently loosening the soil around them. Carrots liked their soil soft and not too much water, just enough to stay moist.

Finally, Pete spent time with his colorful flowers, like the bright red roses and the happy yellow daisies. "You make my garden a beautiful place!" he hummed. Flowers, he learned, needed sunshine, water, and sometimes a little trim to help new blossoms grow. He loved how their sweet smells attracted buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies.

Scarecrow Pete knew that every plant was special and needed different things to thrive. Some loved more water, some loved less. Some grew up tall, others grew underground. But all of them needed his love, care, and a good spot in the garden to soak up the sun. And Pete, the gardener scarecrow, was always happy to give them just that!
