Safety Superheroes

Students will be able to identify and apply basic school safety rules and emergency procedures, such as staying with an adult and knowing safe places in the school.

Warm-Up: Safety Charades

Instructions: The teacher will call out a safety action or scenario. Students will act out what they would do. No talking, just acting!

Safety Scenarios/Actions:

  • Walking in the hallway (Quietly, in a line)
  • Seeing a stranger (Tell an adult)
  • Hearing the fire alarm (Walk quickly to the exit)
  • Finding something on the ground (Don't touch, tell an adult)
  • Asking for help (Raise your hand or go to a teacher)
  • Playing safely on the playground (Sharing, not pushing)
  • Washing your hands (Rubbing soap, rinsing)
