Winning Behaviors

Learn the actions that help you earn Victory Tokens!

Welcome students to the lesson. Introduce the concept of winning behaviors and Victory Tokens. Explain that today we’ll learn the actions that help us earn tokens.

What Are Victory Tokens?

• Special points earned for positive actions
• Collected on your personal token chart
• Redeemable for fun rewards

Explain that Victory Tokens are special points given for positive behaviors and can be exchanged for classroom rewards later.

How to Earn Victory Tokens

  1. Show a winning behavior
  2. Teacher awards a Victory Token
  3. Place token on your chart
  4. Earn rewards when your chart fills up

Describe the process step by step: demonstrate, award, place, and track.

Behavior: Sharing

When you share supplies, books, or toys with classmates

Define sharing and give examples (markers, books, toys). Ask students to name times they’ve shared.

Behavior: Listening Carefully

When you listen quietly and follow directions on the first request

Explain active listening: eyes on the speaker, quiet body, ready to follow directions.

Behavior: Helping Others

When you help a friend or the teacher without being asked

Discuss helping classmates or the teacher: picking up dropped papers, assisting at clean-up time.

Behavior: Being Respectful

When you use kind words and treat everyone with respect

Talk about respect: using kind words, raising your hand, and taking turns.

Your Turn!

What other winning behaviors can we add?
Turn to a partner and share one idea!

Prompt students to brainstorm additional winning behaviors. Have them turn to a partner and share one idea.
