Lesson Plan

Ready, Set, Go? Lesson Guide

Students will learn to break down assignments into micro-steps to overcome task initiation barriers and build momentum. They will identify and plan micro-steps for an upcoming assignment, boosting confidence and readiness to start work.

Many students struggle to start large tasks. Teaching micro-steps reduces overwhelm, promotes executive function skills, and fosters confidence, helping students initiate and sustain work more effectively.
