Create personalized goal maps

This lesson focuses on helping students with special needs create personalized goal maps that align with their unique abilities and aspirations. Step 1

Introduction

  • Introduce the concept of a goal map and how it can be used to visualize and plan goals.

Step 2

Discussion

  • Use the Discussion Guide to facilitate a conversation about what goals are and why they are important.
  • Encourage students to share their thoughts and experiences with setting goals.

Step 3

Goal Mapping Activity

25 mins

  • Distribute the Goal Mapping Worksheet to each student.
  • Guide students in identifying their strengths, interests, and aspirations.
  • Assist students in setting one or two personal goals and mapping out steps to achieve them.
  • Encourage creativity by allowing students to use markers and post-it notes to decorate their goal maps.
