Step 1

Introduction

5 mins

Step 2

Brainstorming

On a piece of chart paper, ask students to brainstorm common conflicts they might encounter (e.g., arguments over toys, disagreements during games). Write down their responses.

Step 3

Introduction to Conflict Resolution

Introduce key conflict resolution strategies such as talking it out, listening to each other, staying calm, and finding a compromise. Write these strategies on the chart paper for students to see.

Step 4

Role-Playing

Divide the students into small groups and hand out scenario cards with different conflict situations. Ask each group to role-play their scenario and practice using the conflict resolution strategies discussed. After each role-play, facilitate a quick discussion on what strategies were effective.
