  • Transition to the next slide of Our Shared Intentions Slides and introduce the concept of the 'Shared Intentions Canvas' project.

What does 'community' mean to you during this time of year?

Welcome students and prepare them for a moment of reflection, tying into the positive spirit of the holiday season.

Building Our Shared Intentions Canvas

Today, we're going to build something special together.

Each of us will contribute a positive intention for a collective display.

This 'canvas' will represent our collective hopes and intentions for our classroom community during the holidays and beyond.

Introduce the project as a way to build a collective display of goodwill for the classroom community using minimal materials.

Your Contribution, Your Intention

What is your positive intention for our classroom community this holiday season?

  • Think about the spirit of giving, kindness, and togetherness.
  • Consider how you want to contribute to a positive atmosphere.
  • Think of one word or a short phrase.

Once you've thought of it, be ready to add it to our shared canvas!

Explain the task of thinking of a holiday-themed intention (a word or short phrase) and adding it to the collective canvas. Encourage thoughtful and specific intentions related to the season.

Connecting Our Collective Goodwill

As we add our individual intentions, watch our Shared Intentions Canvas grow!

Each contribution is important, and together, they form a powerful and beautiful representation of our shared commitment to goodwill.

What does this collective canvas symbolize for our class?

Guide students to contribute their intentions to the whiteboard/digital canvas, emphasizing how each unique intention contributes to a stronger, more connected and festive community.

Our Shared Intentions Canvas

Our Shared Intentions Canvas is a daily reminder of our collective hopes.

Let's continue to uphold these intentions and strengthen our connections every day, embracing the spirit of the season.

Great work, everyone!

Display the finished canvas and remind students of its significance during the holiday season and throughout the year. Congratulate them.
