-
Share First: "I'll go first! I would love to be able to instantly understand the feelings of any character I read about, so I could truly walk in their shoes. What about you?"

(As students arrive, greet them warmly. Once everyone is settled, begin with the Warm-Up: Share Your Superpower!.)
"Hi everyone, and welcome! I'm [Tutor's Name], and I'm so excited to be here with you today. We're going to have some fun exploring the world of books and getting to know each other."
"To kick us off, let's play a quick imagination game. If you could have any fictional superpower, but it had to be related to reading, what would it be? Be ready to share quickly!"
"I'll go first! I would love to be able to instantly understand the feelings of any character I read about. What about you, [Student Name]?"
(Allow each student to quickly share their superpower. Offer positive reinforcement like, "Great idea!" or "So cool!")
Introducing Our Reading Adventures (2 minutes)

"Alright, let's dive in! For the next few minutes, focus on filling out just the 'My Favorite Book' and 'My Favorite Character' sections of your 'Reading Snapshot'. You can write or draw – whatever feels best!"
