Narrative Therapy Through Storytelling

Explore identity and emotions

This lesson encourages students to write and share personal stories, providing a safe space to explore identity and emotions. Through storytelling, students can articulate their inner worlds, fostering emotional expression and understanding. This exercise is important as it helps students develop empathy, self-awareness, and communication skills, which are crucial for their personal and social development.

Step 1

Introduction

5 minutes

Step 2

Writing Activity

15 minutes

  • Ask students to think about a personal story that reflects an important aspect of their identity or an emotional experience.
  • Encourage them to write freely, focusing on expressing their thoughts and feelings.
  • Remind them that their stories are personal and they should only share what they are comfortable with.
