Perspective Switch Guide

Students will collaborate in small groups to rewrite a story excerpt from an alternative character’s viewpoint, practicing empathy, narrative voice, and social awareness by the end of the 25-minute session.

Shifting perspective deepens students’ understanding of character motivations and emotions, builds empathy, enhances writing skills, and fosters collaborative problem-solving vital for ELA and real-world communication.
