My Daily Adventure Lesson Plan
Students will learn to use a simple daily planner by identifying and sequencing daily activities, enhancing their ability to organize their day.
This lesson helps students develop foundational time-management and sequencing skills, fostering independence, confidence, and a sense of routine in their daily lives.

Step 1
Welcome and Introduction
5 minutes
- Gather students on the carpet and greet them warmly.
- Show a large model of the daily planner template.
- Ask: “What activities do we do each day?” to elicit ideas.
Step 2
Daily Adventure Song
5 minutes
- Play the Daily Adventure Song.
- Encourage students to sing and do accompanying gestures.
- Discuss how the song lists morning, afternoon, and evening routines.
Step 3
Explore Planner Template
5 minutes
- Project or display the Daily Adventure Planner Worksheet.
- Explain each section (morning, afternoon, evening) using simple language and picture icons.
- Show how to draw or choose picture cards for each time slot.
Step 4
Sequencing with Picture Cards
8 minutes
- Distribute sets of Routine Picture Cards to small groups.
- Ask students to sort cards into morning, afternoon, and evening piles.
- Guide groups to place cards in order of daily events.
Step 5
Complete Individual Planners
5 minutes
- Give each student a planner worksheet and crayons.
- Instruct them to draw or stick picture cards to show their own day sequence.
- Circulate to assist and ask questions like “What comes after snack time?”.

- Invite a few students to share their planner with the class.
- Praise sequencing and organization skills.
