Toolkit Creation Plan
Students will learn and practice two simple self-calming strategies—deep belly breathing and counting to four—to manage strong feelings, then assemble a personalized calm-down kit to reinforce these skills at home.
Young children often feel overwhelmed by big emotions and need concrete tools to self-regulate. By modeling strategies and creating a tangible calm-down kit, students build mindfulness, emotional responsibility, and confidence in handling stress.
