Lesson Plan

Mirror Mirror Faces Plan

Students will mimic and name four basic emotions—happiness, sadness, surprise, and anger—in a personal mirror and describe one facial feature change for each emotion.

Understanding and expressing emotions builds self-awareness and social–emotional skills. Observing facial changes deepens language development while drawing reinforces fine-motor and labeling skills.
