Prep

15 minutes

  • Collect sound clips of everyday sounds (e.g., birds chirping, water flowing, footsteps).
  • Ensure all sound clips are easily accessible for playback.
  • Review the sound clips to ensure they are appropriate for the classroom setting.

Introduction to Soundscapes

10 minutes

  • Explain what a soundscape is and its purpose.
  • Discuss how soundscapes can help with mindfulness and focus.
  • Play a short example of a soundscape for the class.

Listening Activity

  • Ask students to close their eyes and listen to the soundscape example.
