Step 1

Introduction

5 mins

Begin by explaining what mindfulness is in simple terms: being aware of what we are doing, feeling, and thinking. Explain that today, we'll combine mindfulness with movement and music.

Step 2

Warm-Up

5 mins

Guide the students through a simple stretching routine to prepare their bodies for movement. Use gentle music to create a calm atmosphere.

Step 3

Main Activity

15 mins

Instruct students on a series of simple dance routines set to calming music. Emphasize synchronizing their breath with their movements. Use printable cue cards to remind students of key movements and breathing patterns.

Step 4

Cool Down

5 mins

Lead the students through a cool-down routine which includes deep breathing exercises and gentle stretching. Reinforce the idea of mindfulness and how they can use it in their daily lives.
