Explore emotions through movement and color

This lesson combines gentle yoga poses with an exploration of mood-enhancing colors. Students will learn to associate certain movements with emotional expression, creating an outlet for stress relief and joyful reflection. Step 1

Introduction

3 minutes

Step 2

Color and Emotion Discussion

5 minutes

  • Show students different color cards and ask them how each color makes them feel.
  • Discuss how colors like blue can be calming, while red might feel energizing.

Yoga and Movement Activity

  • Guide students through a series of gentle yoga poses, associating each pose with a color and emotion (e.g., "Blue Pose" for calmness).
  • Encourage students to express how they feel in each pose.
