Step 1

Introduction to Mindfulness

  2. Share that mindfulness helps us manage stress and emotions by focusing on the present moment.
  3. Explain the activities planned for the lesson: guided meditation and breathing exercises.

Step 2

Guided Meditation

10 mins

  1. Ask students to sit comfortably and close their eyes.
  2. Play soft music or nature sounds in the background.
  3. Lead the students through a simple guided meditation focusing on breathing and relaxing each part of their body.

Step 3

Breathing Exercises

10 mins

  1. Explain the importance of deep breathing for calming the mind and body.
  2. Teach a couple of simple breathing exercises like '4-7-8 Breathing' and 'Belly Breathing'.
  3. Practice each exercise together as a class.
  4. Distribute the worksheet on breathing exercises for students to fill out during or after the practice.
