Lesson Plan

Feeling Faces Playbook

Students will correctly identify and name four basic emotions (happy, sad, mad, scared) when shown facial and body cues, demonstrating understanding by acting out and matching emotions through interactive activities.

Early emotion recognition builds self-awareness and social-emotional skills. By learning to name and recognize emotions, kindergarteners develop vocabulary to express feelings and empathy toward others, fostering a supportive classroom environment.
