Reading

My Feelings

A short story to help children recognize and understand their emotions.

My Feelings

Feeling Happy

Sometimes I feel happy. I smile and laugh when I'm happy. When I play with my friends, I feel happy!

Feeling Sad

Sometimes I feel sad. I might cry when I'm sad. When my toy breaks, I feel sad.

Feeling Angry

Sometimes I feel angry. I might stomp my feet when I'm angry. When someone takes my toy, I feel angry.

Feeling Scared

Sometimes I feel scared. I might hide when I'm scared. When there is a loud noise, I feel scared.

Feeling Excited

Sometimes I feel excited. I jump up and down when I'm excited! When it's my birthday, I feel excited.

How Do You Feel?

It's okay to feel different emotions. Can you show me your happy face? Can you show me your sad face?

Remember, all feelings are okay. Talking about our feelings helps us understand them better.
