Master Your Minutes?

Time Management for Success!

Welcome students and introduce the engaging title. Ask a rhetorical question to get them thinking about their own time management habits.

Why Time Management Matters

  • Less Stress, More Control
  • Better Grades, More Free Time
  • Achieving Your Goals

Explain why good time management is important, relating it to common student experiences like stress, grades, and personal goals. Emphasize that these skills are life-long.

The Power of Planning

  1. List It: Get everything out of your head.
  2. Prioritize It: What's most important?
  3. Schedule It: When will it get done?

Introduce the three basic steps of effective planning: List, Prioritize, and Schedule. Keep it simple and actionable for this group.

Prioritization Power Activity

Time to put planning into practice!

  • Use your Time Tamer Worksheet.
  • List your current tasks.
  • Prioritize using the "Urgent/Important" method.
  • Start planning your next steps!

Explain the activity clearly. Ensure students understand they will be using the worksheet to apply prioritization techniques. Offer a simple example if needed.
