Slide Deck

Kindness Quest: Journey Toward Compassion

Welcome! Today, we start our adventure of kindness. Let's learn how small acts can make a big difference.

This is the title slide to welcome students to the Kindness Quest. Briefly introduce the topic and get the children excited about the adventure of kindness.

What is Kindness?

Kindness means helping others in small ways, like sharing toys or giving a hug. Can you think of times when you were kind?

Explain the concept of kindness using simple words and examples relatable to young children. Ask them for examples of kind acts they may have seen.

Daily Kindness Challenge

Every day, we will complete a small act of kindness. Examples: Help a friend, share a toy, say kind words.

Introduce the daily challenge and list some simple acts that kids can easily do such as helping a friend or saying kind words. Engage them by asking for additional ideas.

Reflection & Sharing

Let's share how we have been kind today! How did your kind act make you and others feel?

Provide prompts for a reflection discussion. Encourage each child to share their kind act and how it made them feel. Summarize the value of their efforts.

Great Job, Kind Hearts!

Thank you for joining the Kindness Quest! Keep spreading your kindness everywhere you go.

Conclude with a congratulatory slide that thanks the students for their participation and encourages them to keep practicing kindness every day.

Activity

Kindness Quest Activity Sheet

This activity sheet is designed for our Kindness Quest to make kindness a fun and engaging daily practice. Below you will find simple prompts and spaces to draw or write about your kind acts!

How to Use This Sheet:

  1. Think of a Kind Act: What did you do today to be kind? Maybe you shared a toy, helped a friend, or said something nice!

  2. Draw It: Use the space provided to draw what happened. Don’t worry about making it perfect; it's your unique story of kindness!

  3. Write a Few Words: If you can, write a few words or a sentence about your kind act. (Teacher support will be available!)

  4. Reflection Time: Look at your drawing and words and think: How did your kind act make you feel? How do you think others felt?

Activity Prompts:

  • Today’s Kind Act: What did you do?

  • My Drawing: Show us your kind act with a picture.

  • I Feel: Write or draw how you felt after your act of kindness.

Follow-Up Points for the Teacher:

  • Ask the students to share their sheets with a partner or the entire class. You can encourage them by asking, "Who would like to share their kind act today?"

  • Use the activity sheet as a starting point for a group discussion about how small acts can make a big difference.

  • Reinforce that kindness is ongoing. Commend effort and encourage students to continue their Kindness Quest every day!

Enjoy your journey of kindness, and remember, every act of kindness counts!
