Overview
Use this guide to run a structured, 2-minute mock interview practice with your partner. Switch roles after each round and rotate scenarios to build versatility.
How to Conduct the Role-Play
- Pair up and decide who is Interviewer and who is Interviewee.
- Select one scenario from the list below.
- Interviewer asks 5–6 questions from the Sample Questions list.
- Interviewee responds as if in a real interview.
- After 2 minutes, stop, switch roles, and choose a new scenario if desired.
Scenarios
Scenario 1: Retail Sales Associate
Role: Interviewee is applying at Trendy Threads Clothing Store. Responsibilities include greeting customers, recommending products, and processing transactions.
Scenario 2: Office Assistant
Role: Interviewee is applying at GreenLeaf Nonprofit Organization. Responsibilities include filing paperwork, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
Scenario 3: Café Barista
Role: Interviewee is applying at Sunrise Café. Responsibilities include taking orders, preparing drinks, and maintaining cleanliness.
